About Prof. Dr. Catherine Cleophas:
Prof. Dr. Catherine Cleophas studied business informatics at the University of Paderborn as well as at the Illinois State University. In 2006, she was appointed a fellowship of the Paderborn International Graduate School of Dynamic Intelligent Systems in a research cooperation with Deutsche Lufthansa. She completed her PhD in 2009. From 2008 to 2011, she worked as a consultant for Deutsche Lufthansa and was involved in the development of revenue management systems and simulation models for training and decision support.
In 2011, she was appointed Assistant Professorship for Information Systems at Freie Universität Berlin. From 2013 to 2017, she headed the Research Group Advanced Analytics in the research area Operations Research and Management at RWTH Aachen University. From 2017, she held a position as Senior Lecturer Operations Research at Lancaster University Management School. Since October 2018, she chairs the research group Service Analytics at Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel.
Her research interests include demand analytics and management, system design to support and complement human decision making and agent-based simulations for business planning.
