A colourful anti-Brexit demonstration was warmly received on both sides of the border in Ireland yesterday.

The Bollocks to Brexit bus visited Dublin yesterday before stopping at a former checkpoint hut as it made its way into Northern Ireland.

Madeleina Kay, one of the activists, posed for photographs dressed as EU Supergirl, alongside Drew Galdron, also known as Faux Bojo, who was dressed up as the former British foreign secretary Boris Johnson, amid beeps of support from passing motorists.

Ms Kay, 24 and from Sheffield, performed the campaign’s song Bridges Not Borders at the roadside. She has been campaigning against Brexit full-time for almost two years after dropping out of university. Activists had taken the campaign to Ireland to “reach out to our Irish friends
