Insurer Launches App for Sick Seafarers Stranded Without Doctors

Marine insurer <-bsp-bb-link state="{"bbHref":"bbg://securities/0685902D%20NO%20Equity","_id":"00000184-142f-d6b7-a197-3c2f7e480000","_type":"0000016b-944a-dc2b-ab6b-d57ba1cc0000"}">Gard P&I Bermuda Ltd. released a free app Wednesday to improve health care on commercial vessels following a sharp increase in crew illness and death claims.

The Mariners Medico Guide, which can be used without an internet connection, is specifically designed for seafarers and offers step-by-step guidance on treating crew for physical and mental health issues at sea.
