Welcome to Monmouthshire County Council Online Admissions

Monmouthshire parents / guardians may use this facility to apply for their child(ren) to start Nursery, Primary School, transfer from Primary to Secondary School in September 2024 and also for in year transfers from one school to another during an academic year.

Before you begin, please take some time to study the Starting Schools Booklet and the Nursery Guidance Notes, Secondary Guidance Notes or the Primary Guidance Notes as this provides you with key information that will be relevant to your application

Please note you are only able to use this facility to make an application on the following dates for Nursery, Primary and Secondary admissions:

• To start nursery in September 2024 - 7th July 2023 to 15th September 2023
• To transfer to secondary school in September 2024 - 25th September 2023 to 13th November 2023
• To start primary School (Reception) in September 2024 - 6th November 2023 to 9th January 2024

This facility is available throughout the academic year for in year transfer requests.

Before you begin parents / guardians are required to register. After you have registered, you will receive an email to your nominated email account and will be required to activate your account via this email before you are able to proceed. Once your registration is complete, you will be able to proceed with your online application, detailing up to 3 school preferences. Your application can be viewed and amended at any time up until the closing date. Please note once you have registered and created a login you can use the same login to apply for every admission round.
