PaPOR TRaIL is a free course on open research for students. It is a self-paced online course that will provide students with training and education in open research. Including what open research is, why it is important, and how it is conducted.

Course Details:

The course will cover topics relevant to open research at all stages of the research cycle from the study design to dissemination. Students can first complete an introductory module that providing a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices of open research.

Following completion of this module, students can choose to complete any/all of six skill-based sections that demonstrate how to do the following open research practices:

Delivery:

This course will be delivered fully online using UCC's Canvas Virtual Learning Environment.  It is self-paced with no time limit.  A certificate of completion will be available to download on completion of the course.

The PaPOR TRaIL course has been developed by academic, research and library staff in University College Cork, National University of Ireland Galway, and University of Limerick, with input and guidance from university students and research supervisors.

Eligibility:

This course is open to current third-level students (full-time or part-time).  Please register using your institutional email address.
