jAZZ Musıc competıtıon
This competition has been initiated with the collabration of many respected organizations who promote jazz music in many ways throughout Turkey. The aim of the competition is to form a connection between Turkey and Berklee College of Music, which is one of the most respected schools concerning jazz music.
The competition will be conducted completely online. Performances of the applicants will be recieved through video recordings. Our international jury committee will evaluate the performances regarding the applicant’s rtyhmic abilities, improvisational skills, instrumental technique, soloing and many other aspects.

COMPETITION RULES
- All applicants must be at the age of 25 or below.
- All video recordings must be recent, taken at most 3 months prior to the submission date.
- All video recordings must be at a maximum length of 5 minutes.
- Each participant can only submit 1 video recording.
- Applicants must be clearly visible at the video recordings.
- The performance of the applicant must be clearly audible.
- Applicants are allowed to use backing tracks -either taken from the internet or made on their own- or perform with a band of their choice. (If so, applicants must specify this choice in their applications.)
- All performances should include improvisational sections.
- All instruments including vocals will be accepted.
- No further applications will be accepted after 15/10/2023.
Any application that does not qualify all of the above requirements will cause the applicant to be disqualified from the competition without any excuse.
REWARD
The winner will get to participate in a 12-week online course from the Berklee College of Music Online Program Curriculum with a full scholarship. The winner will have the opportunity to select a course from a diverse range of options. Hence, the winner of this competition will be able to form highly prominent international network and get top education from the professors of Berklee College of Music themselves.
