OD&PL will be opening the doors of the LOGIK Centre for a new series of drop-in sessions exploring learning and development opportunities for colleagues on grades 2 to 5.

These monthly events, starting on Tuesday 27 September 2022, will take place from 10am until 12noon every fourth Tuesday of the month - unless it falls on a University closed day. Colleagues can drop in anytime between 10am and 12noon to the informal event to find out more and share their thoughts on what else OD&PL can offer to support them in their personal and professional development.

At the drop-in sessions you can find out more about career planning, maths and English qualifications, digital literacy support, coaching and mentoring, health and wellbeing and team leadership skills. There’s no need to book, just turn up on the day between 10am and 12noon. If you don't work on campus and would like to speak to the team, then virtual appointments are available, just contact peopledev@leeds.ac.uk.

Come along and chat with colleagues from OD&PL, including Jo Westerman (Organisational Learning Partner) and Harriet Boatwright (Learning and Development Adviser), about the different learning and development opportunities available. Jo and Harriet look forward to welcoming you and finding out how they can support you on your learning and development journey here at Leeds.

Jo Westerman, Organisational Learning Partner in OD&PL, said:

"We have some exciting plans for our grades 2-5 staff community but one of the most exciting things for Harriet and I, is opening up the conversation with colleagues around what they need and how we can support them.

"Our vision is to create an agile learning and development portfolio that works for each and every colleague within our community.

"We truly believe that through a sense of togetherness, belonging and connection we can, and will, be proud to work together to better ourselves and each other.

"We hope that colleagues will pop along on the day to come and put faces to names and start that conversation with us - over a cake and a cuppa!"

The launch event in September runs on the same day as Macmillan’s World Biggest Coffee Morning and there will be cake galore, so bring along your pennies to make donations to this fantastic cause whilst meeting new colleagues and building your network.
