Attend the Conference

We are in the final chapter of the Polder2C’s project. Of course, we will end the project with as much energy as we started: on the Polder2C’s Closing Conference in Antwerp, Belgium. 

Programme

These days will be full of networking, sharing knowledge and celebrating milestones and new collaborations for the future. The theme of the conference is Past, Present and Future of Flood Prevention. 

The preliminary programme is as follows:

Monday 6 March – Possible arrival day

Tuesday 7 March – Day 1

Sharing experience and results of the Living Lab Hedwige-Prosperpolder. Past, Present and Future  

What Keynote speaker, Prof. Tim Soens, on 1000 years of Working with Flood Hazards and Disasters, Panel discussion on Polder2C’s objectives with a variety of interactive plenary and parallel sessions and the Polder2C’s Parade of project results. For Levee managers, safety experts, students, researchers and other interested parties  
Venue Flanders Meeting & Convention Center Antwerp, Entrance: Carnotstraat 4

Field Trip ‘Reliving the Polder2C’s experience’  

What Visit to the former Living Lab Hedwige-Prosperpolder, experiencing the Field Station and a variety of interactive workshops in the field.  
For Levee managers, safety experts, students, researchers and other interested parties  
Venue Infokeet Hedwige-Prosperpolder  
Time 09.00 – 19.00 hours – lunch offered by Polder2C’s  
Meeting point 08:45 hours in front of NH-Hotel Antwerp Train Station, departure 09.00 hours by bus.

Thursday 9 March – Day 3

Looking back and strengthening further collaboration    

What Impact of Polder2C’s among partners & Co and bonding towards collaboration and special Pol D’or Award Ceremony

Costs

Attending the conference is for free! You do not have to pay to enjoy a high-quality programme with a variety of interesting and valuable sessions from experts in the field. You only have to pay for your travel and accommodation expenses and any meals that are not included in the programme.   

Registration and hotel

You are only two steps away from joining us in Antwerp. Please register for the Closing Conference and book your accommodation.

    You can join the closing conference for one, two or three days. Wednesday, the field trip is fully booked. 

    Note: You may already have preregistered for the conference. The preregistration was helpful for us to see how many people were intending to come. This registration serves as an official registration. This is necessary for each attendant, so we know which days you will join us.
