Institute of Psychoanalysis: in collaboration with the Centre for Philosophy and Visual Art

11th December 2020| 7.30pm - 9.00pm
Delivered via Zoom

Chair: Alla Rubitel
Speakers: Caterina Albano, Sacha Golob and William Badenhorst

"He who fears he shall suffer, already suffers what he fears”, Montaigne told us.

But what do we fear, and what is there to fear? Is fear the same as anxiety? Can fear be overcome – or should it?  Can it be useful or healthy? How may it be used or abused?

Join us for an interdisciplinary conversation drawing on art, philosophy and psychoanalysis to explore these questions and their bearing on our world today.

Please note: These lectures will be held on Zoom and will also be available for the following 24 hours to all registered participants. This is to allow for international attendees to enjoy the event at a more appropriate time in their time zone. After this time, the recording will no longer be available.
