Women's Suffrage and Royal Holloway and Bedford College

Women's Suffrage and Royal Holloway and Bedford College In-Person

Royal Holloway and Bedford College have a proud history of supporting women's rights and suffrage. The name of the new Library is named after former student Emily Wilding Davison. In this talk, Librarian Greg Leurs will draw on archive records to explore the role notable staff and alumnae played in the fight for women's suffrage in the UK.

This talk is the first of a two part series looking at women’s suffrage and Royal Holloway and Bedford Colleges (now Royal Holloway, University of London). The partner talk is being held on 15 March (13:30 - 14:30) and will be given by Dr Laura MacCulloch. It will focus on the college Art Collections and women's suffrage.
