What's On

Freshers' Festival is a time you'll never forget - moving away from home, making friends for life, and throwing yourself into new experiences. At the Students' Union we want to give you the best possible welcome to university life, so each year we create a programme of exciting events to ensure you have just that.

We’ve been thinking outside the box to create some innovative on-campus events that adhere to government social distance guidelines, to ensure you can still enjoy fun and engaging experiences in a safe environment. If you’re not able to make it to campus, don’t worry! We’ll have plenty of virtual events taking place online so that you can immerse yourself in the fun, while becoming part of the tight-knit community that we’re so lucky to have at Royal Holloway.

Tickets

To comply with social distancing regulations, tickets will be available for groups of 2/4/6 students and you will be allocated your own table for the duration of the event. To ensure new students have a chance to form social/household groups before they commit to buying tickets, we will be holding back 50% of tickets and putting them on sale to first-year students only on Friday 18 September.

  • Phase One: Returning students - Monday 14 September
  • Phase Two: New students - Friday 18 September

More specific details on tickets will be available on the individual events.

Keeping you safe

All of our events will be conducted in accordance with the relevant guidance published by the UK Government. This means we’ve totally changed the way all of our events and venues operate to ensure they meet Covid-secure standards.

A little thank you

Did you know that the Students’ Union is a not-for-profit charity? That means that every time you spend money on event tickets, in our venues or in our shop, that money gets reinvested right back into your experience here at Royal Holloway.
