Description
Advances in additive manufacturing techniques and materials have enabled the fabrication of complex 3D scatterers that mimic the behaviour of metal nanoparticles at microwave frequencies. These show powerful isotropic scattering behaviour, with negligible dependence on incident angle or polarization for several resonant modes. These scatterers have applications in enhancing the radar signature of small objects such as drones and satellites and in controlling the radiation pattern of antennas.
