Following the success of the Horse Sport Ireland Autumn Development Series in recent years we are now seeking venue applications for 2022.
Eligibility
Please confirm that you accept the following terms and conditions (it is intended to run the Series between 1st September and 12th December 2022.):
All classes must run on a pre-entry basis and online results basis.
All final rounds must be held in the main arena and that arena should have a suitable surface to cope with adverse conditions (please specify details above). All qualifying rounds must be held in the main or with prior HSI approval the second-best arena (with suitable surfaces). Second arena are only warranted where the number of entries requires a second arena to be used for the qualifiers. HSI reserves the right to request that venues provide a back-up venue as part of their application.
Shows/Events cannot schedule or hold other young horse classes for the same age categories (5, 6, and 7 or 8 year olds) as part of the show/event subject to the application
The classes must run in sequence (i.e. one after the other) and, barring exceptional circumstances and in agreement with HSI, should not have other classes slotted in between them;
Entry fees for Show jumping and Dressage the qualifying classes should not exceed €25 and for the finals should not exceed €45; Eventing Ireland young horse entries to range from €80-105.
A Starter/ Call up Stewart (for Eventing Ireland Steward) must be in place for all classes and the microchip of the horse must be verified against the horses passport;
Shows/Events which are awarded a venue of this HSI Series must affiliate to Showjumping Ireland, Eventing Ireland or Dressage Ireland;
Criteria (rules of the classes) for the 2022 series will be circulated to all venues once they are available. Acceptance of those criteria, in addition to the terms and conditions above, will be necessary before venues are finalised.
The factors listed below will be taken into consideration when selecting venues for the 2022 Series:
Level of experience of venue/organising committee in running International, National and Grand prix events in the past;
Suitability of facilities for discipline event applied for eg. Surface of arenas and warm-ups suitable to provide a high standard of young horse competition and to cater for adverse conditions; Premier Grand Prix show; Grand Prix Dressage; Eventing classes. Indoor Jumping and warmup facilities for later rounds.
Avoidance of clashes with other shows/Events;
Established shows/events with suitable facilities to cater for adverse conditions - indoor rings for competition and warm up;
On-site facilities for participants (clean and appropriate rest rooms, refreshments etc) and administration functions;
On site infrastructure and WIFI to facilitate online coverage of event and suitable covered platform/area for videography as required. Ascetically pleasing arenas and backgrounds for video.
