Embridge Consulting was founded in 2009 as an independent consultancy advising businesses who were looking to embark on a change programme where efficiencies and cost savings can be delivered using modern technology.

The Embridge Consulting management team have been working with the Unit4 Business World (Agresso) product since the late ‘90s.  With the recent success of this product in the modern-day ERP market, particularly within public sector, the Embridge team were very quickly asked to get involved in many ERP implementations within this sector.

The Embridge service portfolio has been developed with a ‘client first’ mindset and is aimed at providing not only a full service offering of which you would expect to get from an accredited systems integrator but includes many more ‘value added’ services that complement the standard offering.  As our core management team have originated from senior operational roles prior to forming Embridge Consulting; we understand what support our clients need when managing a change programme such as this.  We have been working with the Unit4 user group now for over 15 years, both as customers supporting the user group council and as a strategic partner of Unit4.  Listening to what customers want, the challenges they face has helped shape what we have available today.

Embridge Consulting is committed to achieving results by operating responsibly, being transparent in all that we do, embracing innovative (yet robust) technologies and, most importantly, delivering customer satisfaction in an effective, professional and friendly manner.  Our key consultants each have over a decade’s experience with the U4BW application and look to use this knowledge to deliver expert U4BW technical consultancy, managed service support and advice to our customer base.

The U4BW software suite is a powerful set of tools and technologies that have been developed by Unit4 and are used by organisations to centralise the management of their business, streamlining the organisation and standardising their key processes.  There are so many ways in which organisations that select this software can configure the solution to meet their requirements.  What Embridge has developed is a controlled, easy to understand and sensible way to approach implementation which is underpinned using our proven implementation methodology.

    Embridge have been very helpful especially the build consultants Peter Johnson and Kunal Kumra who have been a pleasure to work with. The implementation experience so far has been pretty intense and we have had to delay our go live due to resourcing/capacity problem our side but Embridge have been really understanding and adjusted their resources accordingly to support our revised schedule. Thank you John and Khalil for your understanding an support during this period and we look forward to going live in the near future. Our only grumble would be the time it can take to get a resolution to issues registered on Community4U.

    Implementation was impacted by two factors, the first was an apparent lack of understanding of the build requirements for our specific requirements by Embridge which necessitated a re-build during the project as well as the impact of the pandemic. This extended the project duration and cost, although the Embridge were very helpful in trying to reduce costs where possible.

    Whilst there was some support to our internal project team, I felt as the project sponsor that some of the timescales were unrealistic, given our own lack of expertise I felt this left us vulnerable and sometimes felt this was not fully understood or appreciated by Embridge which at times strained the relationship between the internal project team and the Embridge project team.

    Embridge Consulting have a MERP contract with us to supply ongoing BAU support to our Agresso users and our in-house support analyst. Embridge have been a joy to work with – to a person, they are helpful, friendly and knowledgeable, with a can-do attitude in even the most intimidating of scenarios. The way I feel about them is “if anyone can, Embridge can.”

    I’m not sure if I am in a position to say, I am the Project Support Officer and have experience some set back, with partners going on holiday and then expecting work to be done ‘quick march’ when they return, then passing the ‘blame’ on us as the build won’t be done on time. Correspondence can be a little slow at times. Training sessions are booked without consulting us…the Customer, which means that days are taken up and our Finance Team show their frustrations…or don’t attend! Otherwise, we are working with a great bunch of people.

    We built our first Workspace (Project Manager Workspace). We found that for some of the data we wanted to display and also for performance we had to take the SQL route then Custom Objects so Embridge helped with some of that. I’m hoping Workspace improves in future as I’m finding some unexpected limitations with it.

    Embridge took on day-to-day application support for our UNIT4 ERP system after helping with the project to get us to go-live. They successfully helped us to transition smoothly from the project into steady state with excellent knowledge transfer. The quality of their service – which was good at the outset – has only improved over the past 18 months. The product expertise in the Embridge team and their excellent customer service has significantly reduced the burden on our small organisation of working with a new IT system.

    Embridge consulting is supporting our Unit4 implementation with the provision of technical training. The team is quite supportive and is always willing to interact and advise the best resources and training that suits our implementation. The quality of their material is good, and the contents very relevant. They offer good presential and now online training, which is very convenient with the current coronavirus crisis. They have a friendly and supportive approach and are always willing to provide support, even when they exceeded the scope of the training we contracted. When we begin the process to chose an ongoing support partner, Embridge Consulting will be for sure one of our first options.

    This was our first experience of working with Embridge and we would definitely use them again. The data requirements discussions were really thorough so we could agree the scope of the work and the consultant was able to give us ideas on solutions we hadn’t thought of.     We moved to Embridge to take us through the go-live and have nothing but praise for them. They rescued the project and helped us to deliver. We had the same team for duration of project, which helped tremendously. Also, having the team on site made a big difference. They got the job done! We are very pleased!
