Co-Chairs:

Building on the IAS Educational Fund regional meetings that took place in the Southern Africa region, this session will provide an overview of the recommendations and action items that resulted from those meetings focusing on scale-up of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV prevention, children’s health focusing on progress towards ending vertical transmission of HIV, and mental health within the context of HIV in Southern Africa. This session will further explore barriers and enablers to implementing these challenges through a live, facilitated Q&A amongst researchers, policy experts, and community advocates. For IAS Members and people in their networks not attending IAS 2021, the meeting will be broadcast on the IAS 2021 LIVE website: https://www.ias2021.org/live-sessions/#tab-id-3
