We wish you a happy new year for 2023!

Dear participants to the ICOLD 90th Annual Meeting and 27th Congress in Marseille 2022!

After 2022 which marked the year of reunion for the ICOLD family, we wish you a happy new year for 2023!

We would like to inform you that you can find the Marseille 2022 final synthesis report here below both in French and English versions. With this action the French Organizing Committee put a final point to its commitment and pass the torch to our Swedish colleagues for the 91st ICOLD annual meeting organization.

The 91st annual meeting of ICOLD is to be held in Gothenburg, Sweden, mid-June 2023. We would like to invite all of you to come and participate in the event that will include a 1½ day symposium on the topic of Safe Management of Dams. In addition there will be a number of ICOLD Technical Committee (TC) workshops for (i) dissemination of new bulletins or (ii) the launch of new TC work programs. And you will have the opportunity to participate in short-courses and workshops arranged by the Swedish national committee. As usual several interesting pre- and post-conference tours will be offered as well as some technical excursions during the conference week. Do not forget the nice social program and touristic opportunities during your stay in country’s second largest city on the west coast of Sweden. Please find more information at the event website : www.icold-cigb2023.seregistration has just opened. See you all in Gothenburg, Sweden, mid-June!

The ICOLD Board of Directors, the French Committee for Dams and Reservoirs (CFBR) and the ICOLD 2022 Congress Organizing Committee assure you of their full confidence in the holding, in the best conditions, of the 27th ICOLD Congress, the 90th ICOLD annual meeting and also of the Symposium organized by the French Committee (CFBR).

The health situation is improving in France and in Europe; the French authorities have relaxed the restrictive measures in force until now, for public meetings and congresses.

Many national committees have expressed their wish to meet again, to share and to live pleasant moments together.

This congress will be a reunion, which we hope will be memorable.

Come and join us!

You can register now for this event and book your hotel on the page “Registration

The event will take place at the end of spring, a favorable tourist period for travel, especially in the south of France. Many international events take place in Marseille at the same time as our congress.

Revolugo, our hotel reservation partner, has already pre-booked many rooms. However, we advise you to register without delay and to book your accommodation as soon as possible in order to benefit from the advantageous rates reserved for ICOLD/CIGB delegates via the Revolugo platform accessible from the page “Accommodation.

If however you were afraid of possible difficulties of refunding in case of postponement or cancellation (which we exclude today!), know that:

  • the conditions for refunding registrations, within a short period of time, for the event are provided and specified in the registration form,
  • the cancellation without fees at D-30 is possible in most of the hotels accessible via the Revolugo platform and some hotels propose cancellations without fees until the day of arrival, according to their availability at the date of your reservation.

An early reservation is therefore highly recommended.

We look forward to seeing you!
