Notification of extension of work site at CALA Developments

More details of the extension of our work site opposite the CALA Developments.

The section to the north of Ocean Terminal to CALA Development remains open to traffic. However, from Monday 23 August there will be 3-way temporary traffic lights installed to facilitate additional works. Vehicle access will be maintained and managed via 3-way temporary traffic management arrangements with a pedestrian diversion also in place.

These changes are to accommodate the extension of site that sits parallel to the CALA Developments. In order to mobilise the site extension enabling works are required. These include:

  • Installation of the new temporary running lane. This will require residents to use the CALA Developments construction access points for a short duration on the morning of Wednesday 25 August.
  • Closure of footway heading east bound, a diversion will be sign posted.
  • Realignment of the existing carriageway.
  • Removal of lampost.

Following these works, site will then be extended and excavation, utility works, main infrastructure and landscaping works will begin. These arrangements will be in place from Monday 23 August and are scheduled to be in place until early Spring 2022.
