About this work

Description

Cell from the proximal convoluted tubule in the kidney cortex. The nucleus (purple) has a prominant nucleolus, and many elongated mitochondria (red) fill the cell. The basal lamina and intercellular space is shown in blue. The horizontal field width of the sample is 13.3 micrometres.
