Assets not credited are not authorized. Thank you for supporting UNICEF. Poems for Peace is a UNICEF project which heroes the voices of young people caught up in conflict-zones through poetry. Since 2020, UNICEF has received hundreds of poems from children and young people from Afghanistan, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Iraq, Mali, Myanmar, Nigeria, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Ukraine and Yemen. Poems feature on UNICEF’s digital channels, national media, music videos and through artwork. The objective of the project is to amplify young people’s voices and include them in peace building processes, while inspiring audiences to speak out for the protection of children affected by conflict.
