Education Inclusion Managers

Introduction

The Education Inclusion Managers are locality based and work in collaboration with Families in Focus under the Safer Options Approach.

Please contact the Education Inclusion Manager who's locality corresponds with the child/young person’s home address.

What we do

The posts are designed to reduce the amount of exclusions and suspensions for those who are at risk of child exploitation (criminal and sexual).

The team provide advice and guidance to settings who may have learners who are at risk of suspensions and exclusions and may also be at risk of child exploitation. For more general cases involving preventing suspensions and exclusions please liaise and consult the ALP Hub

The Education Inclusion Managers support around:

  • Offer support assessments of risk when offensive weapons are brought into education settings (or used in the community).
  • Offer contextual peer assessments (cross referencing data from other statutory agencies).
  • Offer advice around how to manage risk around responding to drugs in schools.
  • Support and advise contextual support coordination of interventions for settings affected by serious youth violence.

For other cases where advice and guidance is required for suspensions and exclusions please liaise and consult the ALP Hub

Webinars

The Education Inclusion Managers have coordinated and supported development of knowledge of topical safeguarding issues around child exploitation. These are free to access.
