Mounton House is Monmouthshire's only state-run special school and is facing the threat of closure! Mounton House, Chepstow, are a restorative, holistic and dyslexia-friendly school for boys with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, offering day and residential placements. Our highly trained, dedicated and caring staff are committed to providing every young person in our care with the opportunity to reach their full potential through individualised bespoke packages. We have a strong record of success, with our young people moving on to further education, employment and training.

The county council have announced a proposal to close the school. If the proposals are successful, the school could be closed by December 31.
