WE ARE
Singer Björk Níelsdóttir and violist Þóra Margrét Sveinsdóttir join forces after having toured with the likes of Björk, Sigurrós, Florence and the Machine and Stargaze. With only a voice and a viola, their music is both raw and intimate. The music they perform is built on simple forms and dissonant harmonies in which the voice
and viola are tightly intertwined. Dúplum just released their first EP.

Fluisterconcert #1
Dúplum performs at the first edition of the Fluisterconcert series at Temple Amsterdam. This night we share the evening with two other artists: Carmen Jaci and Dialoges. We will have a (whispering) dialogue with each other and with the acoustics of the space. We will take turns, stand on three stages, react to each other and sometimes play together. Get your tickets!

Dúplum duo Home Edition
Watch Dúplum in action! This is a video diary of our work-in-progress for the project FLOWERS OF EVIL where you can follow our collaboration with the composer Aart Strootman. Because of current pandemic the whole creative process took place in confinement at each artists home. In our collaboration, the musicians sent recordings of their playing that was then reworked in the composers studio. The result sparked new musical ideas that slowly manifested into a new work over the timespan of 8 weeks, ending on the 20th of June with live stream concert.
