Summary
The Transparency Regulation, which became applicable on March 27 2021, required EFSA to provide new services and to implement new processes for its risk assessment of applications and renewals related to genetically modified organisms (GMOs).
The aim of this webinar was to explain EFSA’s workflows regarding new tools developed to implement the provisions of the Transparency Regulation in the context of Directive 2001/18/EC Part C. The webinar also sought to inform participants on the new requirements and EFSA’s risk assessment and confidentiality assessment processes that relate to GMO Part C notifications.
The webinar was attended by 63 participants representing business operators, research organisations and national competent authorities from Europe and worldwide.
The event ended with a live Q&A session, during which the speakers and contributors answered questions submitted by attendees online.
