The SAP S/4HANA application SAP FI (Financial Accounting) is responsible for the administration and presentation of accounting data and is therefore the core component of an SAP S/4HANA system. SAP FI fulfils the international requirements for external accounting. Recording all business transactions according to the document principle ensures a complete audit trail from the balance sheet to the individual document. As a result, each business case relevant to the balance sheet and income statement is posted in FI or transferred to FI. The flow of data between SAP FI and other components of the SAP system is open and integrated, this means that it is characterized by automatic updating. The data is available in financial accounting in real-time. This allows management to assess the financial situation of a company ad hoc and at any time.
SAP FI handles e.g. the financial relationships with suppliers and customers, such as the booking of receivables and payables, the collection of shipments and payments as well as the processing and issuing of reminders and account statements. SAP FI is therefore essential for the preparation of business information as the basis for strategic decisions.
Financial Accounting with SAP S/4HANA
The standard software SAP S/4HANA is currently the most frequently used ERP software worldwide. The Financial Accounting application represents the most widely used component of the SAP S/4HANA system. Theoretical knowledge and practical experience with the SAP S/4HANA system - and especially with the core component Financial Accounting - are therefore often the basic requirements for professional entry or promotion.
While theoretical ERP knowledge is often part of scientific curricula, the link to practice is usually lacking. Practical experience with a "living" SAP S/4HANA system offers you a clear competitive advantage.
SAP S/4HANA FI Consultant Certification
Following the two courses SAP FI – General Ledger Accounting & Annual Accounts with SAP S/4HANA and SAP FI - Asset Accounting & Special Applications with SAP S/4HANA you can take part in the official SAP consultant certification exam. The exam is conducted directly by SAP SE and, after passing successfully, leads to the official and in the industry fully-recognized SAP certificate C_TS4FI. Due to the cooperation with SAP University Alliances and SAP Next-Gen, the exam is offered at special student rates.
After successful completion of each erp4students course, a certificate of the Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences is issued. These certificates certify the successful completion of the case studies and the handling of the areas used in the SAP S/4HANA FI environment.
