2019/20 Personalised Timetables Briefings
Date and time
Location
Description
From the start of term (2019/20), the Personalised Calendar Services project will provide students and teaching staff with a new mechanism for viewing their teaching timetable.
We are aware that (particularly during the start of term) staff receive a number of queries from students around their timetables. To ensure that you are fully confident in dealing with these queries, we would like to invite you to a personalised timetables briefing session.
About the sessions
They will take place at:
- 11.00 – 11.45am, Wednesday 14 August, Astley Clarke Lecture Theatre
- 2.30 – 3.15pm, Monday 19 August, George Porter Lecture Theatre B
- 10.00 – 10.45am, Thursday 29 August, George Davies Lecture Theatre 2
They will consist of a 30 minute talk, followed by 15 minutes for the team to answer any questions you may have.
What we’ll cover at the briefing
- We’ll talk you through the ways that students and teaching staff will be able to access personalised timetables
- We’ll provide you with a preview of what teaching staff and student personalised timetables will look like, from the start of term (2019/20)
- We’ll run through the questions that students frequently ask, and outline the most effective ways of dealing with their queries
- We’ll explain how the data flows between the various University systems, to ensure that calendars are up to date at all times
The session will be led by Louise Hill (Training Manager, Student Lifecycle Change Programme) and Matt Kaylor (Academic Services Manager, Timetabling and Examinations). A member of the technical project team will also be in attendance, to answer any technical questions you may have.
