This webinar will focus on the construction of an academic document, which could be a journal article or thesis, and how to develop this document to meet the expectations of your audience. We will consider document structures and discuss how to present your information effectively for an academic audience. The webinar will include online discussion to allow you to ask questions and share tips with other attendees.

In this webinar we expect to cover the following:

  • Recognising your audience and their needs
  • Building an effective document structure
  • Organising your materials effectively for readability
  • Forming a clear and convincing argument that justifies your research

The content is generic as far as possible, some sections, notable covering structure may have a science focus.


This webinar will help you develop skills in Creativity, particularly 'Argument construction', and Communication and dissemination, as outlined in the RDF subdomains A3 and D2.
