This webinar will focus on the middle and later stages of the writing process, to explore ways to help you improve the clarity and fluency of your writing and to communicate your research effectively. We will consider various approaches to the editing process, from a top level viewpoint down to sentence flow. We will end with a discussion on how to gain constructive feedback.

We expect to cover the following topics:

  • Developing an effective system for editing
  • Approaches to review the entire document
  • Improving your language to improve the fluency of your text
  • Using language to communicate you research effectively
  • Ways to gain constructive feedback.

The session will not cover referencing or copyright for which you are recommended to view advice from the Library.

This webinar will help you develop skills in Creativity, particularly 'Argument construction', and Communication and dissemination, as outlined in the RDF subdomains A3 and D2.
