About this event

To acknowledge Anti-Slavery Day this year, West Midlands Anti-Slavery Network in collaboration with Public Health England will be hosting a day of webinar discussions on the 8th October.

This will include a number of panel discussions on the most topical subjects faced in our sector this year so far and to prepare us for the forthcoming year. These discussions will be followed by question and answer sessions.

West Midlands Anti-Slavery Network, established since 2009 connects the various agencies involved in tackling modern slavery in the West Midlands and beyond. Their mission is to unite and enable partner organisations to work in collaboration to end modern slavery, human trafficking and exploitation. They do this by identifying gaps, influencing change and facilitating solutions in order to protect and advocate for the vulnerable in society.

The intended audience for these webinars are individuals who are active in the Anti-Slavery movement/field. The discussions are less about awareness raising of modern slavery, but digging deeper into existing structures, challenges and the future.

Please Note: This will be a recorded event. If you wish to take part in any of the question and answer sessions but would like to stay anonymous, please change your name in Microsoft Teams. There will be the option to type questions and comments in the chat box if you prefer. If you have any concerns or questions regarding this please email lucy.congrave@phe.gov.uk
