About this event

Mindfulness can be described as the practice of paying attention in the present moment. It brings together ancient wisdom traditions of the East, particularly Buddhism, with modern neuroscience and psychology. Through mindfulness practice, you can reduce stress and increase focus.

This one-and-a-half hour fun and relaxing workshop will help you explore your creativity through mindfulness and writing.

Mindful writing encourages you to be more aware and less self-critical, turning the writing experience into an exploration of yourself and the world around you. We will use simple meditation and writing activities to learn how to navigate creative blocks caused by over-thinking. You’ll be encouraged to slow down and tune into your senses to develop generate creative writing ideas in a range of forms including freewriting, poetry and prose.

No experience of writing is required. All welcome. You will receive a Teams invite for the session closer to the date.
