About this event

Knaïve Theatre presents: A Digital Lyceum are hosting the very first post-show discussion of their inaugural season at the venue. Have Your Passport Ready by Stand and Be Counted Theatre Company.

Have Your Passport Ready is a virtual experience by Stand and Be Counted Theatre (SBC) that puts the audience directly in the world of the UK's hostile environment. This short film-meets-video game is Knaïve Theatre's first open supported commission.

Led by brothers Khaled and Mohammad Aljawad from Syria, now based in Sheffield, Have Your Passport Ready explores an unknown city without an interpreter as audiences become players collecting evidence to prove their right to remain in the UK.

There is no knowing exactly what will come up in this post-show discussion but we anticipate, after facilitating well over 150 post-show discussions across the world and on many topics, it'll be stimulating, supportive and challenging in equal measures.

The post-show discussion will take place on Zoom. The show is free to access in the Theatre from 10am on 22nd October until Midnight on 24th October. All events are free to access with donations split between SBC Theatre and Knaïve Theatre presents: A Digital Lyceum in the artists’ favour. If you would like to make a donation to keep these projects alive, please head to the bar and buy the artists a drink!

If this sounds like your cup of tea, sign up and join us on 24th October at 7pm.

Tickets are strictly limited and on a first come, first served basis.
