Chaired by Professor Mo Naim (Cardiff Business School) and Andrea Green (Costain), the Forum will engage a lively discussion on current research within these fields.

IROHMS Future Leaders Academy will explore research challenges in the fields of artificial intelligence, robotics, and human-machine systems, highlighting the transformational research, strong industrial and public sector engagement, and delivery of sustainable, impactful solutions that we are recognised for. Over a period of six weeks, commencing 19th January 2021, guests will be invited to virtually join four discussion forums, workshops, networking events, and virtual tours of our new and improved laboratories: IROHMS Simulation Laboratory, Autonomous Systems and Robotics Laboratory, and Human-Robot Interaction Laboratory.

The Centre for Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Human-Machine Systems (IROHMS) is a world-class research environment that facilitates innovative, cutting-edge research.

We focus our research on many sectors of global strategic importance, including digital manufacturing and robotics, human factors and cognitive psychology, mobile and social computing, artificial intelligence (AI).

We have built on our renowned research excellence from three of Cardiff University’s schools: School of Engineering, School of Computer Science and Informatics, and School of Psychology.

By bringing together this collective expertise under one banner, we have maximised our expertise by driving forward innovations that tackle some of the most pressing societal challenges.
