About this event

Effects of coloured lights and environments on wellbeing

In the first seminar of the series Stephen Westland will review several recent research projects from the University of Leeds that explore the effects of coloured lighting and environments on human wellbeing and performance.

There are at least two distinct biological mechanisms for these effects; one of these is autonomous and tends to be similar for different people whereas the other is more cognitive and tends to show individual variation. Conflicting findings in the literature may occur because these two mechanisms have not been widely understood.
