About this event

Do you want to find cheap and easy things to do that get you out and meeting new people?

Do you care about clean air and greener streets?

Do you ever feel the need to clear your head after a busy day?

If so, then please join the Living Streets Youth Campaign Officers for a ‘Go-Green Week’ wander around the streets.

We’ll share why we’re working to make walking number one as the national charity for everyday walking and why we’re passionate about safer, more inclusive streets and cities. Our work is all about how walking can keep us mentally and physically healthier, be fun, bring us together and help us travel more sustainably as part of the UK’s work towards Net Zero.

We want to make sure young voices are present in our campaigns for a healthier, greener future for our cities so come and tell us your ideas.

Meeting Point: The Lemon Grove (Student Union).

Join us for a walk to:

• Practise tools for auditing a neighbourhood and building a case for change

• Consider how to work with different communities to better understand barriers to walking and how to bring new voices into the conversation about safer streets

• Learn about Creative Walking and how we can design walks which bring people together through play

• Present your vision for a greener, safer and healthier Exeter

• Apply to become a Living Streets Ambassador at the University of Exeter

• Use your phone or camera to spotlight things of interest.
