AKVA group Land Based business area is investing heavily in the development of sustainable solutions in land-based farming and is now in a process where they are strengthening their capacity. Recently, AKVA group entered into an agreement on delivering a complete land-based system in Maryland, USA. The contract is the largest in the company’s history and will be managed from AKVA group’s head office at Kverneland Næringspark.

AKVA group is looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to take the overall supply chain management responsibility in this project; sourcing, purchasing, production and logistics. You will report to Head of Projects but will work across the entire Land Based business area and collaborate closely with relevant disciplines in the group.

Main tasks:

• Develop new, and maintain existing, supplier collaborations, with specific focus on local sourcing in the USA
• Close collaboration with other supply chain functions to develop strategic supplier collaboration
• Conduct contract- and commercial negotiations
• Make purchases according to needs of the projects, and actively follow-up orders until receipt and settlement
• Ensure timely and efficient logistics across the project’s value chain
• Establish and further develop supply chain routines and strive for continuous improvement of supply chain processes across group
• Act as contact person for the suppliers, and conduct supplier meetings
• Coordinate and lead quality control (audit) of suppliers

Education and experience:

• Relevant education on minimum bachelor´s degree level, preferably in supply chain management related subjects   
• Minimum 5 years’ experience from supply chain roles where you have worked with international sourcing, purchasing and logistics
• Knowledge of relevant U.S. regulations would be beneficial  
• Sound system skills, and knowledge of Dynamics, Navision, SAP, etc would be advantageous
• Proficiency in English and Norwegian is required, both written and spoken

Location is Kverneland Industripark, Klepp stasjon. Travel must be expected.
