Salty? I mean, it’s better than “f*cking” or “just” but I think it paints an inaccurate picture of my genial personality. I’m assuming that “sexy” or “sophisticated” were too pedestrian or already taken. Joe tells me that I can pretend it’s about how I taste. I ignore that affable deviant as much as possible. Generally, I’m a pretty easy going and friendly guy. My new intern, Kit calls me “Salty” and so I guess it’s a thing now. Joe says I tend to act like an ass around women I’m attracted to.Am I attracted to Kit? Hell yes and in the past I’ve treated her very well. Several times in one night as a matter of fact. A night we didn’t exchange real names or numbers, it was Vegas, for fuck’s sake.Maybe I’m a tiny bit salty that I find that the co-owner of my winery, Mikey, hired Kit as our new intern. I’m not the type of guy who sleeps with his interns. If being stuck working with a woman I’ve been intimate with, who is amazing at her job, yet treats me like I gave her chlamydia pushes me a little in the salty category, then I guess that’s an apt description. Despite her clear displeasure with me now, Kit was once happy in my company. I’m just going to have to figure out if it’s worth making her happy again.

Jen Luerssen grew up in New Jersey and then lived for 20 years in the San Francisco Bay area. She has held various jobs in her adult life. Some examples are nanny, waitress, receptionist, dispatcher, caterer and finally teacher. She spent the past 8 years teaching 4th and 5th graders, until last year when she felt the call to write. It’s been plaguing her thoughts and dreams for years, and those thoughts finally fought their way out.

Jen loves to read, obsessively. She has an unhealthy attachment to her e-reader and is rarely seen without it. She’ll read anything, but especially loves a good smutty or a post-apocalyptic young adult book.

After “retiring” from teaching, Jen sat down and wrote a book and it was the most fun she’s ever had working. She is self-published even though she’s not sure how it works and hopes that people like her stories.

Jen is back in her native New Jersey and lives with her husband and daughter, enjoying suburban life.

Salty Sebastian (Smirk Series book 3) by Jen Luerssen is a contemporary romance/comedy that will knock your socks off. If you haven't read a book by this author, you are absolutely in for a treat and this particularly story is a deliciously salty addition. The characters in this story overlap with ones that appeared earlier in the series. However, you can read this as a stand alone. The characters are a riot, highly entertaining and will constantly have you wondering what is going to fall out of their mouths next. Sebastian is an amazing and I just wanted to hug him in half of this story, then Kit is just a spicy addition that makes you want to lather them up together to find out what kind of combination you get with them. Hilarious, great writing and will having you laughing throughout!

Salty Sebastian was a good read. It started out really funny which pulled me into the story. Kit and Sebastian meet at a hotel during a conference. They have a great night but don't exchange names and numbers. Two years later Kit gets hired by Mikey to be an intern at Sebastain's winery. Kit loves the whole progress of making wine. She's very goal orientated. The connection her and Sebastian is still there but she wants to keep their relationship professional. Of course you know their relationship can't stay just business. These two are fun characters and I loved their story from beginning to end. I was surprised that Kit had a secret but I loved her secret and how it was handled.

Salty Sebastian (Smirk Series book 3) by Jen Luerssen

What a story. Meeting in Vegas and never exchanging real names, these two meet again 2 years later. Sparks fly, but he's her new boss.
I really loved these characters. Despite her being from a very well off family, she knows what hard work is and strives to make it on her own.

I won't give away anymore of the story as its best to be read and figured out as you go. I really loved Peyton and Sig, they seemed great!
Highly recommend!

The Smirk Series is one of those series that is written in such an amazingly clever way. Each book overlaps the previous one yet can be read as a stand-alone.

There is so much I enjoyed about Sebastian and Kit's story:

The fact that they speak directly to the reader.
Told in dual POV.
Has such a sense of humor about itself.
Such food friendships.
Sexy times.
2 fabulous dads.
1 fabulous dog.
And so much more.

I absolutely recommend this book, this series and this author.

Salty Sebastian is book three in the Smirk Series by Jen Luerssen. Just reading the blurb was hilarious and I had to read this story asap. I haven't been so excited to get to know a character in a long time. I knew Sebastian would be the ultimate in reading pleasure. And i wasn't wrong.

Jen Luerssen spun a riveting tale. A delicious tale. An unputdownable tale. An unforgettable tale. From the first word to the last, I was hooked. Salty Sebastian had it all and I loved it all. The characters were varied and delightful. The essence of the story was sublime. A top quality story that was easy to read and was blissfully entertaining. 5 stars.

Salty Sebastian by Jen Luerssen is Book 3 In the Smirk Series and was a great second chance romance read for
me. I absolutely loved Frank’s book and the whole gang was back again in this happy, sweet, funny read.
Kit and Sebastian have an amazing one night stand in Vegas whole they are both away attending a convention. It was the best night and morning of both of their lives. What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas right? WRONG!!! Kit and Sebastian parted ways and never exchanged names, numbers or even where they lived.

2 years later Kit goes to Thirsty Monkey for a job and Mikey hires her right away. She’s over qualified but she knows her stuff. When Mikey brings Sebastian to meet the new intern she hired, both Sebastian and Kit are speechless. Thoughts of that amazing, hot night come rushing back in their minds. How is Kit going to be able to work for Sebastian and how is Sebastian going to be able to get any work done with Kit as one of his employees.

Both Kit and Sebastian are very hot and cold with each other but the attraction is there and they cannot deny they both have feelings for each other. What will happen when a big secret is brought to light after they finally have another amazing night? Will they be able to see past this secret? No one is really at fault but it happened and now it must be dealt with. Amazing characters, great storyline and this was just a shiny 5 star read

Salty Sebastian (Smirk Series Book 3)
By: Jen Luerssen
5 out of 5 stars

The story Salty Sebastian (Smirk Series Book 3) by Jen Luerssen is a romantic comedy. It is a book that hooked me from the very beginning and I found myself lost in the storyline and characters. I loved reading about Sebastian and Kit. Sebastian owns his own winery. He is also someone who keeps women at arm’s length. He is surprised to find out the new intern the co-owner of his business has hired is a woman that he has met before. Kit is a woman whose passion is making wine. She too is surprised to find out her new boss is a man from her past. Their relationship is to be professional. They can be co-workers and even friends. What does the future hold for Sebastian and Kit? Read this book to find out. I loved reading the playful bantering that goes back and forth between Kit and Sebastian. They are characters that I grew to care about with each chapter that I read. The story has romantic moments as well as interactions that brought a smile to my face and had me laughing out loud. The book has emotional moments that are touching. The additional characters that are introduced are interesting and enjoyable to read about. This is a story I would highly recommend reading.

Sebastian has always come off as a more mature person than his friends. So i was curious to see inside and what makes him tick. We get to see another side and see why he enjoys his friends and their ridiculous teasing and banter. I really love Sebass (to quote Mikey) he is such a great character. Romantic, Straight laced, calm (unless drinking) and honest (which i loved about him) plus he is more mature so he doesn’t do all his thinking with his emotions. I was worried early on with all the hot and cold he and Kit were showering each other with but I understood it all later. Kit fits in seamlessly with this group of crazy characters. She is outspoken, brash and has a good head on her shoulders. The more I got to know her the more I liked her.

As for secondary characters. I really can’t say enough and think enough about Sig and Peyton! They are the BEST! Sure it was nice to see Lia (with her made up names), Frank (grumpy), Mikey (outrageousness), Joe and the Crew. I love seeing them together but in this one Sig and Peyton take home the trophy.

The author continues the wonderful strategy of having the characters tell the story as well as talk to me...the reader. It’s a perfect combination. While this is the third in the series you can easily read it as a stand alone. The story was surprising, which I love, and fun filled. How can it not be with this crew!

Although until now, sweet was the taste I leaned towards. And Joe, he had been just right along with a side of sarcasm from his friend Frank. Jen Luerssen has delivered a trilogy of amazing, everyday men but Sebastian has won me over with his Saltiness. Sebastian and Kit have a bit of a Vegas Vacation encounter including the detail where what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas along with names, phone numbers, and any way to contact each other. Fast forward four years, and Sebastian has just discovered that his partner has just hired Kit at their winery, The Thirsty Monkey. Can they rekindle that amazing time they had in Vegas and more importantly can their relationship both professional and personal survive a dose of reality. Salty Sebastion is my new man, but please don't let Just Joe know. He can be so sensitive. Oh and of course, Frank will just have a sarcastic remark for any comments you may have. Gotta love these guys!!

Salty Sebastian
By Jen Luerssen
5 stars

I honestly absolutely love this author! Her books never fail to entertain me and I always fall completely in love with the characters she creates – obviously Salty Sebastian was no exception! I loved every second of it! Second chance romance stories are amongst some of my favourite stories to read and this was a perfect example of why I love them! Kit and Sebastian’s first meeting was hot, heavy and VERY steamy but what I loved the most was that even after a few years apart the connection that they found that night was still there! I was definitely rooting for them the whole way through. The dynamic of the relationship may be different this time but I could tell there was something still there between them! I really liked the little twist to Kit’s story too!
I was hooked by this book from beginning to end – the authors writing pulled me in straight away! I am really excited to read more from her again in the future and I 100% recommend Salty Sebastian as a fantastic 5 star read!

Salty Sebastian by Jen Luerssen is the third book in the Smirk series. This book can be read as a stand-alone however this whole series is worth reading.
As with the previous books in the series even the blurb had me laughing. It gave me such a good sense as to what this character would be like. It really whetted my appetite for the story I was about to delve into, and it did not disappoint in any way.
This was laugh out loud funny with an interesting story to go along with it. The characters were absolute gems that I thoroughly enjoyed reading about. I really became invested in them.
Of all the books on the series I think this one so far has to be my favourite. I loved Sebastian and I thought that he worked so well with Kit. This book also had some of my favourite scenes in it. This is not only a five star book but a five star series!!!

Salty Sebastian(Smirk Series book 3) by Jen Luerssen
4 stars!!!!

This is the third book in the series but the second book by this author that I have read and I was just as engrossed in this book as I was the first. The author has a refreshing writing style and very unique characters. I just couldn't put this book down.

The unique way that Kit and Sebastian meet makes this book so original. The chemistry between them is quite sizzling. I really like how the book isn't predictable and has quite a realistic flow. I loved the fact that the characters were so believable and I could relate to them. This book was such a great read that I will definitely be reading more from this author in the future.

Salty Sebastian is the 3rd book in the Smirk Series by Jen Luerssen. I had never previously read any books by this author before this and wasn’t aware when I started that there were 2 books that came before it. Each book in the series can be read as a stand-alone although the same group of friends appear in each book. I certainly didn’t feel like I was missing any important information when reading this one, although I’m now intrigued as to what went on before. Although I’d like to read the previous book, I’m sure they are going to have a hard job living up to Sebastian and Kit as I loved their story.
Salty Sebastian is a contemporary romance that will have you in fits of laughter in many parts. I absolutely adored the interaction with Kit and her 2 dads Peyton and Sig. They really have no filter and are quite happy to discuss their own sex life and that of their daughter, much to the horror of Kit many times.
A bit of background to the story – Kit and Sebastian meet and have a wild passionate night in Vegas but don’t as much as exchange their names with each other. Fast forward 2 years and Kit is hired as an intern in Sebastian’s wine business. Let’s just say that their night 2 years previously has never left either of their minds and has changed both their lives in many ways.
Can Sebastian and Kit take up where they left off, considering that Sebastian is now her boss? Is Sebastian willing to let a woman get close to him after he has sworn off relationships when he discovered his long term girlfriend with another guy?

This is a well written story that as characters that pop off the pages as they bring the story to life. I enjoy seeing other characters from previous books in this series and enjoy how they are all friends. Sebastian and Kit have one wild night and morning in Vegas, then went their separate ways. Four years later they meet again, is the attraction still there? What will fate have in story for them? Their story has humor and romance. I highly recommend their story, it is my favorite yet.

Salty Sebastian was a great 5 star read. And book three in the Smirk Series.

While in Vegas for a wine convention Kit meets Sebastian. He sort of saves her from a humiliating hook up that gave me a LOL moment. After a few hours of flirting they end up having a hot and steamy evening.

Fate steps in and two years later Kit ends up getting hired by Sebastian’s partner to work an internship at their winery. She has a dream to run her own winery one day. Sebastian has always kept boundaries with the interns, will he be able to with Kit? Can these two have a future?

I’m on track now and I”m not letting a one-night stand in Vegas derail me. Even the hottest night of my life -Kit

I really loved Kit she had me lol so many times. I loved the nickname she came up with for Sebastian as well, it fit perfectly. Sebastian was an alpha male with a dominant side to him. Kit really pushed his buttons at times. The connection these two had was great. If you're looking for a great romance with some lol moments this is the book for you. Jen does a great pulling you in with her writing. I look forward to reading more from her.

Salty Sebastian by Jen Luerssen a four-star read that will add a little sugar to your life. This is number three in the smirk series, they could be read as stand-alone, but they do have characters popping up in each other’s stories, but they interact in a great way that doesn’t spoil it. This is one of those laugh out loud stories and you will giggle like a loon when you read it. That being said its not just funny, its romantic as well, Kit and Sebastian will pull you in and take you on a trip to Vegas and then going all over again.

Salty Sebastian (Smirk Series book 3) by Jen Luerssen

5 Stars

I just love how this author ties in her titles to the stories, they are awesome. I loved this one and it might be my favorite so far.

I love a second chance romance and this one was completely fantastic. It had a bit of a twist in it that for some reason I never saw coming and I actually love when an author can catch me off guard. Sebastian is why this book is my favorite, there was just something about him that drew me in immediately and the interactions between him and Kit were perfection.

I love how this author writes, the way her words transition so easily which makes the reading that much more enjoyable, and how she includes all of the leading characters from the first 2 books and the friendship bonds are awesome. I fell in love with Kit’s parents and its those family bonds that grab me and hold on in books. It's definitely one of my favorite things.

I recommend reading these in order, you really won't appreciate all of the characters if you don't, I can not wait for more from this author.

Loved It!!

Salty Sebastian (Smirk Series book 3) by Jen Luerssen is a great contemporary romance and is a wonderful fun read. This romantic comedy, like the other books in this series, is one of the most funniest stories I have read. Jen has hit her stride when she wrote these books. Being told in the male point of view is wonderful and her dialogue and humour is top notch and spot on. I found myself laughing out loud and so engrossed in the lives of these wacky characters. It is sexy and steamy and there were some tender moments that made you go ‘ah’ and others that made you go ‘what’. The story feels so realistic as we follow these crazy friends, who are family, through their lives, with all their quirks and sexy smexy innuendos, teasing and mateship, love and flaws, hope and wonder.

I am happy to have more of these characters and this series, as I said before, one book is not enough. Keep em coming Jen.

Salty Sebastian (Smirk Series Book 3) By Jen Luerssen. Absolutely loved this book. It’s just what I was looking for. While I think you can read this book as a stand-alone I recommend them all for sure. This author takes readers on a story ride that leaves you wishing is wasn’t over. I stayed up well into the night because I just couldn’t put Sebastian and Kit’s story down. The characters are complex and relatable and I think they may be one of my top favorites for main characters this year. It’s well written and paced nicely. I sometimes forgot I was reading a book, since it played out in my head so vividly. I’m excited to read more by this author. I’m giving this story a five star review and highly recommend it!

Five Stars

Salty Sebastian is the third book in the Smirk Series by Jen Luerssen. Thin book can be read as a standalone, but I would recommend reading this series in order because all of the books are great reads. This book had me hooked from the very first page and I couldn’t put it down until the last page. This is such a fun book to kick off the summer. It was lighthearted with some twists and the chemistry between Sebastian and Kit is off the charts. I just really enjoyed this book.

This is a new to me author and honestly, I didn't think it would be a good fit. I always pick one or two new authors when at a book signing though and this was one of the books I picked. Sooooo glad I did. Salty Sebastian is a fantastic contemporary romance by Jen Luerssen. Ms. Luerssen has provided readers with a book that is well-written and packed with a hysterical cast of characters. Kit and Sebastian have a smokin' hot one-night stand in Vegas. Two years later Kit is hired at Sebastian's winery. While I loved the characters in this book, I also have to give kudos to Ms. Luerssen for the outstanding humor and snarky, sassy dialog. This book is written in first-person, alternating point of view, my least favorite format. But, it does work in this book. Salty Sebastian is book 3 of the Smirk Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

I read a print copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I loved this series! Salty Sebastian is a man who has been burned and guards his heart from breaking again, which explains his new nickname: Salty. Kit is a fiery young woman with a passion for wine making and keeping a big secret.
Author Jen Luerssen did it again with a highly entertaining plot and lovable characters. I can’t wait to see what’s next from this author!
