Bird flu: third premises near Fakenham, North Norfolk, Norfolk (AIV2023/01)

Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 was confirmed in commercial poultry on 4 January 2023.

6 April 2023: Following successful completion of disease control activities and surveillance in the zone, the 10km surveillance zone has been revoked.

31 March 2023: following successful completion of disease control activities and surveillance within the zones, the 3km protection zone has ended and the area that formed the protection zone becomes part of the surveillance zone.

All poultry on the premises have been humanely culled.
