Details

The dedicated schools grant (DSG) gives local authorities money to fund the schools that they manage.

The allocations document gives a breakdown of how much DSG funding local authorities are getting for the 2017 to 2018 financial year.

The pupil number tool will help local authorities view how many pupils there are in their area.

The conditions of grant document explains the conditions that local authorities must meet to be able to receive DSG funding.

  1. We have updated the pupil number tool to reflect the allocations, which were updated in July 2018.

  2. Early years block funding for three and four-year-olds, disadvantaged two-year-olds, and EYPP, updated to take account of January 2018 census figures.

Allocations for the maintained nursery school element of the dedicated schools grant have been updated to reflect the January 2017 census data and outcome of the data assurance exercise on 2016 to 2017 section 251 budget returns. Allocations for the disability access fund element of the dedicated schools grant have been updated based on the disability living allowance claimant data from November 2016.
