EQUALS Her Digital Skills Cybersecurity Workshop – London

This is a beginner-friendly cybersecurity workshop for women and aspiring female leaders in tech which will explore what cybersecurity is, why it is important and how to be safe online. The workshop will also explore potential job opportunities and career paths in the technology industry specific to cybersecurity.

The workshop will take place at the GSMA Headquarters on Friday, 4 November for beneficiaries based in London, UK and virtually for those based overseas. Registrations are already open and more information can be obtained by clicking here.

This workshop is supported by Verizon and forms part of the EQUALS Her Digital Skills Initiative co-founded by GSMA, ITU, W4 and EY as part of their contributions to the EQUALS Global Partnership for Gender Equality in the Digital Age. The initiative aims to inspire women and girls to enter the world of technology and pursue relevant educational and/or career opportunities. To date EQUALS Her Digital Skills has impacted the lives of over 20,000 young women and girls across 30 countries in 10 continents through free gender transformative digital skills training and e-mentoring opportunities.

● Participants will receive a certification of completion supported by the over 100 members of the EQUALS Global Partnership;

● Participants will engage with and increase their knowledge of tech and a range of tech skills;
● Participants will increase their confidence (self-efficacy) in their ability to pursue further tech studies/training and/or employment and careers in tech;
● Participants will increase their knowledge of how technology can support and boost their employability/livelihoods; and
● Participants are more inclined to proactively pursue further tech studies/training and careers in tech/tech-related employment.
