Tech firm Xtremepush is to fill 50 new roles in Dublin this year with plans to add another 120 over the next three years.

The Irish-owned provider of multi-channel customer engagement and marketing will more than double its workforce.

The business, which currently employs 80 people, has already doubled staff numbers in the last 18 months.

Recent senior hires include a new chief financial officer, a chief people officer, a new head of engineering, a director of operations and a director of marketing.

It is expanding internationally.

New positions being recruited for include a vice president of sales for the US, customer support staff, including account executives and managers for both the US and Europe, technical solutions consultants and financial accountants.

“We are already becoming a global category leader, working with leading enterprise clients from offices in Ireland, the United Kingdom, North America and eastern Europe,” said Xtremepush CEO and founder, and former professional rugby player, Tommy Kearns.

Just under a year ago, Xtremepush secured $33m (€31m) in growth finance to help it scale globally.

The funding round included equity funding from Grafton Capital, a London-based growth investor in leading European technology companies, and a refinanced debt facility.

The company has a global enterprise customer base of around 350 companies and is forecast to grow by 60pc this year.

Last week, Xtremepush’s new offices in Dublin 2 were opened by Robert Troy, minister for state at the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment.

Troy said that global demand for Irish-developed software and digital solutions underscores Ireland’s reputation as a world-class technology hub, where talent and investment drive continual innovation.

Kearns said: “Our new Dublin flagship headquarters, in this prime location, is a marker of further growth acceleration.”

Jenny Melia, divisional manager of technology and services with Enterprise Ireland, said: “Xtremepush has an ambitious growth strategy and its new headquarters and employment expansion plans are tangible evidence of the potential of this Irish-owned global leader.”

The company was founded in 2014.
