Story

For some mad reason on the 18th June 2020 about 4 days before I enter a new decade, I will be completing in the Samworth Brothers Charity Challenge….a 20km run, 40 km cycle and 20 Km kayak time managed orientation event…….sounds like madness & I have no idea how I got roped into it BUT to get me through I will be trying to raise funds for the LOROS Hospice Charity in memory of my daughter’s friend, LEAH BETH REEK (18 years old) along with her boyfriend Shane, his mum Mary and brother Sean who were tragically taken from us in the Leicester insurance explosion on Hinckley road on the 25th February 2018 so ANYTHING you feel you can donate to this memory will be humbly appreciated.

Leah was a beautiful person inside and out, who’s smile lit up any room she entered, she was so caring and she regularly volunteered at LOROS helping those less fortunate than her. In recognition of Leah’s LOROS connection and in a desire to keep her memory burning brightly, her family and friends created the “Leah Beth Legacy” which helps raise funds for LOROS as a memory to Leah’s “legacy of love and kindness,” for which will be remembered for ever xx.

Thanks Greg
