Biography

Andrea Biondi is Professor of European Union Law and Director of the Centre of European Law at King’s. He has a distinguished academic record with visiting positions at leading universities, including Georgetown University, the College of Europe and the University of Rome La Sapienza. He is currently Visiting Professor at Bocconi University in Milan and Adjunct Professor at LUISS University in Rome.

Professor Biondi sits on the Advisory Boards Member of Advisory Boards: European Public Law. European State Aid Law Quarterly, European Public Procurement and Public Private Partnership Law Review, Eurojus, University of Bologna Law Review, Rivista di Diritto Pubblico Comunitario, Diritto ed Impresa, General Editor European Monographs, Kluwer Law International.

Professor Biondi serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Appeal of the EU Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER).

 He is an Academic Associate at 39 Essex Chambers in London.

Research interests

Professor Biondi’s research interests are in European Union law, with particular emphasis on state aid law, trade law and regulation as well as judicial protection of EU rights.
