  • Collaborative practices
  • Responsible research and innovation

Christine’s research interests include social, futures, and contemporary history studies of artificial intelligence broadly understood (autonomous, adaptive, evolutionary and intelligent systems; brain-inspired computing; robotics), neurotechnology and computational neuroscience.

She aims to trace some of their entwined genealogies and to situate them within wider sociotechnical systems and imaginaries, in order to understand their import for society.

She also has a special interest in the development of collaborative methods for engaging scientists, engineers, diverse publics and communities, in practices of responsible research and innovation for future and emerging technologies. Finally, she is interested in social studies of research collaborations and research infrastructures.
