Did you know that an estimated 92 million tons of textile waste pile up each year globally? Textile waste poses a significant challenge to our environment, affecting water and other natural resources and pollution affecting the health of people and the planet. By enhancing recyclability Kemira focuses on creating chemistry that makes a meaningful difference to these pressing challenges. Last week, our team shared our chemical expertise in textile with some industrial partners at the fourth Lyocell Forum in China, the world’s biggest textile production hub. Kemira Oyj’s January-March 2024 Interim Report: Strong start to the year with a focused portfolio   “We started the year strongly with our focused portfolio. Market demand continued to recover gradually and we saw volume growth both year-on-year and sequentially in both segments. Organic revenue growth was negative as sales prices for energy-intensive pulp and bleaching chemicals declined from an elevated comparison period.
