This week, we joined UNICEF's incredible philanthropic supporters at a special event to launch the Every Child Fund, hosted by BDB Pitmans. Together, we celebrated the power of unrestricted gifts in building a brighter future for children worldwide. The Every Child Fund directs critical resources to where they're needed most, without limitations on country, situation, or timeframe. This flexibility allows us to maximize our impact and deliver lasting change for children globally. Want to make a difference? Learn more about contributing to the Every Child Fund by contacting philanthropy@unicef.org.uk.

“Gaza needs an immediate and long-lasting humanitarian ceasefire. How many times have we said – indeed, pleaded for – that? And we must see the release of all hostages, safe and unrestricted access for humanitarian relief, and more crossings for that relief.” UNICEF spokesperson, James Elder, writes in The Guardian about the current situation children are facing in Rafah, Gaza. It's #WorldImmunizationWeek, so we're celebrating mobile vaccinators like Wijdan in Sudan, who work tirelessly to reach and vaccinate children, even during conflict. UNICEF works all over the world to ensure children have access to vital childhood vaccines so that they can grow up happy, healthy and able to play. Your support for #SoccerAid for UNICEF could help vaccinate and protect children against devastating diseases for life. https://lnkd.in/e3Qu-i6

We are thrilled to announce that our Rights Respecting Schools Award film has won the Progressive Social Change category at the Brand Film Awards! This film was co-created with almost 50 school students aged 6-16 from 4 schools across the country. A big thank you the children, teachers and experts who committed their time and creative energy to making it. We work with schools in the UK to create safe and inspiring places to learn, where children are respected, their talents are nurtured and they are able to thrive. Our Rights Respecting Schools Award embeds these values in daily school life and gives children the best chance to lead happy, healthy lives and to be responsible, active citizens. We have today announced that the GSR Foundation will be supporting UNICEF by granting $250,000 to our Venture Fund in order to support the growth and development of the UNICEF CryptoFund. The GSR Foundation is a new independent charity and grant maker that envisions a world in which no one is excluded from participating in, or benefitting from, the advancement of technology and its role in progress. Sunita Grote, Senior Advisor Ventures, UNICEF Office of Innovation, said: “Frontier technologies like Artificial Intelligence and blockchain hold both promise and potential for addressing global challenges affecting the lives of children. Support from GSR enables us to push the boundaries of what is possible by exploring new use cases in contexts where they can deliver transformative change. And with our focus on startups in emerging economies we can help catalyze a network of expertise that can help make this vision a reality.” To date, the Venture Fund, through its investees, has reached 41.5 million people, 10.9 million of which are children.
