The universe’s most abundant element is having a good year. Clean hydrogen is enjoying an upswing which could go exponential. The European Commission expects investment in renewable hydrogen technologies to reach €470 billion by 2050. Industry, transport and housing are electrifying – how can hydrogen change our energy system and electrification journey? And what does that offer for our society and businesses? Hydrogen is the missing link in the transition away from fossil fuels and it can be used to decarbonize everything from steelmaking to aviation. To deliver and help the world meet zero-emissions targets, renewable hydrogen technologies and infrastructure must scale-up and spread out.
