We’re consulting on whether we should ban solid urea fertilisers to improve air quality. These types of fertilisers produce large levels of ammonia, which disrupts our precious ecosystems. When ammonia reacts with other pollutants in the air it also forms PM2.5, which is harmful to human health. I thought all fertiliser produces or contains ammonia, it's a natural reaction of the elements isn't it?
