We are very excited to contribute Scion material and process technology to the recently funded INRAE BIA led UPWEARS project. We had the pleasure of holding a very interesting discussion with ZEBRA-LIFE PROJECT’s main partners Inveniam Group and Centro Nacional de Energías Renovables (CENER) - National Renewable Energy Centre. This is part of the European Commission’s encouragements for exchanges between similar LIFE Programme projects.   ZEBRA-LIFE PROJECT addresses two important problems: waste production by the pulp and paper industry and the environmental and health impacts caused by the production and use of synthetic additives in multiple industrial products.   Both LIFE BIO-LUBRICANT and ZEBRA-LIFE projects are aligned to the circular economy ambitions and committed in the development of circular processes for the production of more sustainable products.   We welcome further collaborations in the future! Development of Innovative Biomanufacturing Technologies Using CO2 and H2 as Feedstocks for Hydrogen-oxidizing Bacteria －Accelerating Technological Development and Open Innovation under NEDO’s Green Innovation Fund Project－ Sojitz Corporation, Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry, Green Earth Institute Co., Ltd., DIC Corporation, Toray Industries, Inc., and Daicel Corporation, have concluded an agreement with Japan’s New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) for a joint project focused on the development of revolutionary biomanufacturing technology to engineer hydrogen oxidizing bacteria that utilize CO2. Meet Biomelkveebedrijf Hollevoet 📍: A small farm in Diksmuide, Belgium, leading in sustainable practices. 💡 Their biogas plant, powered by fresh cow manure, generates 9.7 kW of clean energy. This project, fueled by sustainability and cost savings, began in 2012 with Biolectric's system and upgraded to BioTechnics' concrete silo in 2017. 🔌 The investment of €140,000 - €150,000, aided by a €54,000 subsidy, reflects their commitment to a greener future. ✅ Seamless authorization, strategic tech partnerships, and shared maintenance responsibilities have kept their plant thriving. 🌱 Lessons learned?
