I almost wish I was still in my prime and could be amongst this demographic, That drives our entire industry crazy. Where are they? Do they watch our content? What do they love? I'm talking about Gen Z. Those who don't need to scroll 4 times to get to their birth year on websites 😅 Because they were born after 1997. Every business is keen to see them flock to buy & use their products & services. This YouGov study is fascinating, we learn that: 1️⃣ Globally, 16% of the 18-24 years old watch between 1 to 5 hours of content per week on streaming - France, Germany, UK & Spain over-index with rates ranging from 25% to 31% 2️⃣ Globally, 12% of the 18-24 years old watch between 6 to 10 hours of content per week on streaming - France, Germany, UK & Spain boost global viewing habits with rates ranging from 16% to 21% 3️⃣ 6% of Spanish 18-24 years old even watch 36-40 hours a week 😲 What is their favourite genre? Globally, 50% watch comedy content. In France, documentaries come 1st with 37%.
