This session will explain the benefits of a Basic DBS check and the benefits that these checks can bring to an organisation. We will share some interesting facts and figures around Basic DBS checks and explain what information will be included in this level of check.

This session will explore what a good barring referral looks like, how and why we request different types of information and how we use this information to help us make a balanced, factually sound and defensible decision. And the process used to decide whether or not to include someone in the Children’s and/or Adults Barred Lists.

This session will provide an insight into what the Update Service is and how it can support safer recruitment and employment. We will explain the registration process and the benefits to both subscribers and recruiters.

This session will explain the DBS application process from Enhanced DBS checks, including what happens at Stage 4 of the process. Georgie and Julia explain why delays may occur, what to do if you experience delays and dispel some common myths surrounding DBS application delays.
