Ann Kristin Glenster

Senior Policy Advisor on Technology Governance and Law

Dr Ann Kristin Glenster is a Senior Policy Advisor at the Minderoo Centre for Technology and Democracy at the University of Cambridge, and the Executive Director of The Glenlead Centre, and an affiliate of the Centre for Intellectual Property and Information Law (CIPIL) at the University of Cambridge.

Ann Kristin is a data protection, privacy, and intellectual property expert and she has written extensively on AI, algorithmic, and digital regulation. She has authored numerous reports on AI and digital regulation and governance for the Minderoo Centre for Technology and Democracy. Notably, she is the co-author of Generative AI: Policy Brief with Sam Gilbert at the Bennett Institute for Public Policy.

Ann Kristin is a graduate of Columbia University and conducted doctoral research at the Harvard Law School. She has taught at University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, London School of Economics (LSE), Brown University, and Harvard University. She delivered a workshop on deceptive design for lawmakers, regulators, and policy stakeholders at the Nobel Prize Summit in Washington D.C.

This year, she was awarded the prestigious Carr Center Fellowship in Technology and Human Rights at the Harvard Kennedy School for 2024-25.
